Thermaglow Ltd offers a wide range of industrial and domestic immersion heaters for a multitude of different applications.
We have been manufacturing immersion heaters since 1957 which has allowed us to develop advanced knowledge for this product. The assembly consists of rod elements that can be fitted with either a screwed head (boss) or a fixed flange. A termination box can be fitted to the end of the heater to protect it to the required IP rating. Once the liquid required for heating has been identified, our technical sales team can calculate which sheath and flange materials would be best suited to ensure optimal performance and resistance against corrosion. Thermostats and suitable pockets can be included with the heater to regulate and control the temperature. For additional protection against highly corrosive compounds, the elements can be electropolished.
The maximum immersed length is 2250mm. Heaters are manufactured to the customers requirements subject to maximum recommended watts densities.
Screwed heads are available in brass and stainless steel – 1¼” BSP, 1½” BSP, 1¾” BSP, 2” BSP, 2¼” BSP and 2½” BSP.
We hold the following thermostats in stock: 7”, 11” and 18”, however we can source others if required.
Hazardous area ATEX/IECEx approved Immersion Heaters are available and certified to the required standard. The ATEX/IECEx approvals are for Immersion Heaters that are known to be or potentially going to be used in hazardous (explosive) atmospheres. A specially designed flameproof terminal cover shrouds the heater and hence eliminating the risk of danger. Also see our Duct Heater page for Flameproof Air Heaters.
