Thermaglow’s very own Thermaduck recently took to the water for the Great Yarmouth Duck Race, helping to raise money for the Rotary Club’s charitable activities and supporting a fantastic community event.
The annual duck race raises vital funds that help the Rotary Club support a wide range of local community projects, charities and good causes throughout the area, as well as contributing to international humanitarian initiatives that make a difference around the world.
From the moment the race began, Thermaduck made a flying start, charging out of the starting area and positioning himself among the early leaders. For a brief moment, hopes were high that a podium finish might be on the cards.
Unfortunately, after a strong opening performance, Thermaduck began to lose momentum as the race progressed. Despite his best efforts, he was unable to secure a place in the Top 10 or progress to the final race.
While we may never know whether it was the river current, the water conditions, or perhaps a somewhat relaxed training regime that affected his performance, one thing is certain: Thermaduck gave it his all and represented Thermaglow with pride.
Although the trophy wasn’t coming back to Thermaglow headquarters this year, the event was never just about winning. The Great Yarmouth Duck Race brought together local businesses, organisations and supporters to raise valuable funds for causes that have a real impact both within local communities and further afield through Rotary’s international projects.
We would like to congratulate all of the ducks that made it through to the final and extend our thanks to the event organisers, volunteers and supporters who helped make the day such a success.

Thermaduck may not have brought home the trophy, but he certainly brought plenty of smiles, laughter and community spirit.
Most importantly, by taking part, we were able to support the fantastic charitable work undertaken by the Rotary Club, helping to fund projects that benefit people both locally and internationally.
We’ll be back next year. Same duck, same determination, and hopefully a little more race-day stamina.
