About the Role:
As a Technical Operator, you will play a key role in the efficient operation of our production processes, supporting, coaching, and training your team.
Responsibilities:
- Work in a hands-on capacity within the manufacturing area, to gain in-depth knowledge and proficiency in the specific processes of that area. Following this period, transition to other production areas within the organisation to acquire expertise in their respective processes.
- Ensure production schedules remain on schedule to ensure timely completion of manufacturing deadlines.
- Continuously monitor production processes, identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions to resolve issues.
- Conduct quality control inspections to verify that products conform to specified standards and tolerances.
- Diagnose and resolve equipment and process-related issues to minimise downtime.
- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Always ensure compliance with safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate and detailed production records
- Work cross-functionally with other departments to optimise production workflows and drive process improvements.
- Once proficient, train and mentor new employees on equipment operation, process workflows, and safety standards.
- Generate regular reports for supervisors and engineering teams, detailing production performance, encountered challenges, and proposed or implemented improvements.
Skills
- Expertise in training and mentoring production teams.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machinery, equipment, and quality management systems, including industry best practices and compliance standards.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally with various departments
